We may think we know what’s best,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6
Yet forget we can’t see all the rest.
Our view is narrow, shaped by pride,
But the Lord sees far and deep and wide.
We chase what seems to feel so right,
Still miss what’s hidden from our sight.
But walking with Him, we’re never alone—
Even when the path feels overgrown.
If we would trust and cease to fret,
Our fears would fade, our needs be met.
His ways are higher, His plans are true,
He knows what’s best for me and you.
So let us yield, not just pretend—
Let faith be more than just a trend.
For peace will come when we let go,
And trust the One who loves us so.

Absolutely lovely—and so strengthening. Your lines gently lift the heart from self-reliance to sweet surrender, and it lands right where peace lives. It reads like Proverbs 3:5–6 in motion, and I hear the echo of “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee” (Isaiah 26:3). Keep penning truth like this—it quiets worry and makes trust feel wonderfully possible.
