Our Journey
“You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways.” Psalm 139:1–3
I will never forget the first time I read this chapter. It was as though the words reached into the deepest part of me, stirring a warmth that had not fully been awakened. This truth that God—Creator of the universe, Sustainer of all life—cares enough to know every detail of who I am, past, present, and future, left me breathless.
Among billions of souls, He sees each one individually. He sees me. This is not a distant knowing – it is intimate, intentional, and tender. He surrounds us with His presence, lays His hand upon us even when we cannot feel it, guides our steps, watches over us as we sleep, and thinks of us constantly. Me…He thinks of me! What a God. What a love. To be known so fully and still loved so completely—this is the essence of grace and that is where the name Known and Loved was born.
Writing has always been a passion of mine—whether through songs, poems, or reflections. As someone who doesn’t always retain what I read, writing has become a cherished practice: a way to capture truth, to remember, and to create space for God to speak.
Known and Loved has lingered in my heart for some time, a quiet dream waiting for its moment. But dreams and thoughts, no matter how beautiful, require action. A conversation with a friend reminded me of the importance of responding to the call God places on our hearts. Soon after, while signing up for a devotional series, I “happened” upon a platform for beginners to build websites—WordPress. In that moment, the Lord gently reminded me of the vision He had entrusted to me. And from there, the journey began.
May this space—Known and Loved—be a sanctuary for your soul. May you feel the nearness of God in every word, and may His love awaken something deep within you. If you’ve ever doubted your worth, questioned your place, or wondered if you are truly seen, let this be your reminder: You are known. You are loved. You are held. I invite you to walk with me in this journey. May we write, reflect, and rejoice together in the goodness of the One who knows us best and loves us most.
With anticipation and blessing,
Katrine Tuba
